On March 26, 2010, PLATO Learning, Inc. announced that it had entered an agreement to be acquired by Thoma Bravo, LLC in a $143 million transaction. According to the agreement, shareholders will receive $5.60 in cash per TUTR share owned, which represents a 14% premium over the $4.91 closing price on the last trading day before the announcement. The transaction is expected to close by July 31, 2010.
