Six New Cingular Cell Sites Enhance Service as Part of $180 Million Investment ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's largest wireless carrier continues to grow its network in upstate New York. Cingular Wireless today announced the addition of six new cell sites in the Albany area, providing enhanced cellular coverage for Rensselaer, Washington and Saratoga Counties. "We know that having quality wireless service and coverage is not only important to our customers, but to our business. We are absolutely committed to expanding and enhancing our network in upstate New York," said Robert Holliday, Cingular Wireless vice president and general manager, upstate New York. "In fact, we have already improved capacity and in-building wireless coverage by investing over $180 million in the region in the past two years." Three of the six cell sites added to the Capital district this year are in Rensselaer County. Cingular has expanded its coverage with a new cell site in Cropseyville that enhances the wireless experience on Route 2, between Cropseyville and Grafton. In the West Sand Lake area, Cingular customers will benefit from a new site that also serves North Greenbush, Routes 43, 150, 136 (Whiteview Rd.) and Snyder Lake. Additionally, the company has added a site in Pittstown to improve service along the busy Route 7 highway between Pittstown and Hoosick.
