Helios High Yield Fund Special Dividend Declaration

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2013) - Helios High Yield Fund (NYSE:HHY) (the "Fund") today announced that its Board of Trustees declared a special dividend of $0.02 per share, payable on December 27, 2013 to shareholders of record on December 26, 2013. The ex-dividend date is December 23, 2013. In order to be compliant with federal tax requirements, the special dividend will be paid from the Fund's undistributed net investment income.

Shares purchased on or after the ex-dividend date will not receive the dividend discussed above. Please contact your financial advisor with any questions. Dividends may include net investment income, capital gains and/or return of capital. Any portion of the Fund's distributions that is a return of capital does not necessarily reflect the Fund's investment performance and should not be confused with "yield" or "income."
