2013 CN Employees' and Pensioners' Community Fund campaign raises
more than to C$1.5 million for charities
MONTREAL,
Dec. 18, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - CN (TSX:
CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced today that the 2013 CN Employees' and
Pensioners' Community Fund (the Fund) campaign raised more than
C$1.5 million for charities focused
primarily in Quebec and
Ontario - the fifth successive
year that the Fund has generated more than C$1 million in charitable contributions.
Over the past ten years, the Fund has raised more than
C$10 million in donations to assist a
range of agencies, including Centraide/United Way, to help the poor
and less fortunate.
Vee Kachroo, co-president of
Campaign 2013 and CN vice-president of supply chain solutions,
said: "The outstanding results of the 2013 campaign make all
of us at CN very proud, and it clearly shows how CN, through the
dedication and generosity of its employees and retirees, along with
the outstanding work of the canvassers, volunteers and committee
members, is committed to giving back to the communities in which we

Jean-Michel Hallé, co-president of Campaign 2013 and
vice-general chairman of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference,
said: "Thanks to everyone involved for making this a record year,
and for helping make a real difference in the lives of so many
people."
Every dollar raised by the Fund goes directly to organizations
that employees and pensioners wish to support as the Fund relies
exclusively on volunteers and the services and facilities of the
company.
