DIOS Updates its New 14 Karats Gold Project

DIOS Exploration (TSX VENTURE:DOS) team is pleased to update its new 14 Karats
gold-diamond project, Upper Eastmain area, James Bay, Quebec. It is located
35-55 km east of the Stornoway Renard diamond deposit, and 50-75 km NE of the
Eastmain gold mine (accessible by a 160 km winter-road from Temiscamie). 


In 2011, new regional glacial till (54 samples) sampling yielded 642 ppb Au, 583
ppb Au, 151 ppb Au, 120 ppb Au, 131 ppb Au, 115 ppb Au (parts per billion gold -
in heavy mineral concentrates). These anomalous gold results adds up to
re-assays of former 2006 diamond tills that returned 1660 ppb Au, 123 ppb Au,
534 ppb Au and 2330 ppb Au and are located within a few km down-ice the
interpreted extent of the Archean Upper Eastmain volcano-sedimentary belt. 


The geological environment suggests a potential for worldclass Eleonore-type
gold mineralization at the same southern geological contact. The 14 KARATS
project covers a 40 km under-explored strike of this interpreted Upper Eastmain
volcano-sedimentary belt and is effectively located near the metamorphic facies
contact between the Lagrande and Opinaca Subprovinces, at the transition between
Greenschist and Amphibolite metamorphic gradients. DIOS 2011 geological
reconnaissance program outlined a pluri-kilometric sequence of metasediments
(conglomerate, biotite grauwacke & silicate iron-formation), metabasalts,
dacites, ultramafics and gabbroic-dioritic sills within a Greenschist-grade
metamorphic domain (LaGrande) adjacent to the LaGuiche migmatitic orthogneiss
and paragneiss. Disseminated sulfides (1-15% arsenopyrite-pyrite-pyrrhotite)
mineralization was observed within the silicified metasediments and
metavolcanics. Limited sampling yielded 0.45 g/t Au from a metasedimentary
glacial float. Federal magnetic data shows interesting weak magnetic lineaments
with some flexure/folding pattern (change of direction) of the LaGrande- Opinaca
contact. 


The 14 Karats gold-diamond project is composed of 498 CDC (map-staked mining
cells) for 260 square kilometers and is wholly owned by DIOS. DIOS 2012
follow-ups on 14 KARATS will include systematic mapping-prospecting and
additional till sampling by IOS Services Geoscientifiques, which is still
processing the 2011 tills for diamond indicator minerals at its Saguenay heavy
