Danish construction materials sector services and equipment
supplier FLSmidth & Co. A/S (FLS.KO) said Monday it has signed
a global licencing agreement with Australian company Wasabi Energy
Ltd. (WAS.AU) for its Kalina Cycle technology, which converts waste
heat to power.
MAIN FACTS:
- According to the agreement, FLSmidth obtains exclusive rights
to offer the Kalina Cycle technology to the cement and lime
manufacturing industry globally, except in a few countries where
existing licenses are present.
- The Kalina Cycle technology is able to recover waste heat from
industrial process gas streams and convert it to usable electrical
energy.
- FLSmidth said the agreement enables it to offer customers a
waste heat system that will lower plant operating costs and reduce
