The Danish krone that climbed to a 1-1/2 month high of 5.2256 against the US dollar in early European trading on Monday moved sideways thereafter. As of 9:15 am ET, the dollar-krone pair was quoted at 5.2311 compared to last week's close of 5.2625. On the upside, the Denmark currency may find target around the 5.213 level.

The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since January 1, 1999. Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is at 7.4603.
