Aronne, Founder and Director of the Center for Weight Management at Weill-Cornell Medical Center, and a leading authority in obesity, will present the results of its 24-week clinical trial of pemvidutide in the treatment of subjects with overweight or obesity in an oral presentation at the 59th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Hamburg, Germany. Pemvidutide is a novel, investigational, peptide-based GLP-1/glucagon dual receptor agonist in development for the treatment of obesity and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

About Pemvidutide 

Pemvidutide is a novel, investigational, peptide-based GLP-1/glucagon dual receptor agonist in development for the treatment of obesity and NASH. Activation of the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors is believed to mimic the complementary effects of diet and exercise on weight loss, with GLP-1 suppressing appetite and glucagon increasing energy expenditure.
