Redback Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:RBAK), a leading provider of
next-generation broadband networking systems, today announced a
deal with eAccess of Japan to use Redback�s SmartEdge� platform to
deliver multiple broadband services to its residential and business
customers. eAccess plans to migrate more than 1.5 million broadband
users to Redback�s SmartEdge family of multi-service edge routers
from Redback�s SMS product platform. The migration is designed to
facilitate eAccess� plans to deliver advanced voice, video and
mobility services in the future using Redback broadband gear.
eAccess delivers aDSL broadband, mobile broadband, and value-added
business services such as optical access, wireless LANs and VoIP
