Cingular Wireless Names Adam Vital Vice President and General Manager of North Texas Vital one of 27 VP/GMs named part of new leadership team after merger with AT&T Wireless DALLAS, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless has named Adam Vital as Vice President and General Manager for North Texas, which is part of the company's new Central Region. The newly combined company is now the country's biggest wireless provider with more than 46 million customers and has the largest digital voice and data network in the nation. Vital, formerly Vice President - Sales Operations at the company's Atlanta, GA, headquarters, will be based in Dallas. In his new role, Vital will be responsible for Cingular's operations in North, West, Central and East Texas. He will oversee all business and financial matters for the designated markets in his region, which now include both the AT&T Wireless and Cingular operations. "Adam Vital has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the wireless industry, and I can think of no better person to manage this territory and lead its success in the future," said LeAnn Priebe, Central Region President of Cingular Wireless. "He will deliver wireless innovation to consumers while leveraging the synergies made possible by the merger." Vital has 33 years in the telecommunications business. Prior to his position as vice president of sales operations, he was president of Cingular's Southeast Region, which included Georgia, North and South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee from 2001 to 2002. Between 1995 and 2001, he had stints as president and general manager for Northern California and Reno, NV; and Arkansas and Tulsa, OK. From 1993 to 1995, he was vice president of sales for Cellular One in Chicago, IL. Vital began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1971. Vital earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business (Marketing) from the University of Missouri and his Masters of Science in Management from Pace University, New York, NY.
