Global Resource Corporation's Technology Named for Potential to Unlock Domestic Energy Sources

PR Newswire (US)
WEST BERLIN, N.J., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Resource
Corporation (OTC:GBRC.PK) was recognized by the United States
Department of Energy in June as a company that may one day make
available hundreds of years of oil, a number based on the United
States' current burn rate. Global Resource's patent pending
technology, applied to various natural and synthetic materials,
produces energy in an economical and environmentally friendly
process. To find the report, visit the DOE website at:
http://www.globalresourcecorp.com/DOE-REPORT.pdf Also, you can find
a link the report on Global Resource's website at
http://www.globalresourcecorp.com/. "Billions of barrels of oil
exist within our own country, and the technologies that may unlock
that energy have the potential to drastically change the global
energy landscape," says Frank Pringle, CEO of Global Resource
Corporation. "I encourage the public to review these technologies
and realize just how companies like ours may have an answer to the
global energy crisis." The Department of Energy cited which
unconventional natural resources could be converted into energy
using the technologies held by companies included in the report.
Representatives from the DOE visited companies like Global Resource
to see first-hand the potential of these technologies. The table on
Page 13 of the report identifies domestic natural resources that
Global Resource's technology can be applied to -- including oil
shale, tar sands and heavy oil. The DOE was not able to witness
coal-to-energy conversion due to time constraints, but coal can
easily and efficiently be converted into energy using Global
Resource's process. Global Resource's patent pending technology has
been proven in laboratory conditions, and the process is designed
to be a cost and energy efficient system. However, unlike other
petroleum production processes, Global Resource has discovered a
way to cut carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions. Since no
oxygen is introduced into the process, and the process is performed
in a closed-loop vacuum, harmful pollutants are eliminated. The
process breaks down existing domestic energy sources and produces
methane, diesel fuel and heating oil in vast quantities. About
Global Resource Corp. Global Resource Corp. has a patent pending
process that allows for removal of oil and alternative petroleum
products at very low cost from various resources, including shale
deposits, tar sands, waste oil streams and bituminous coal with
significantly greater yields and lower costs than are available
utilizing existing known technologies. The process uses specific
frequencies of microwave radiation to extract oils and alternative
petroleum products from secondary raw materials, and is expected to
dramatically reduce the cost for oil and gas recovery from a
variety of unconventional hydrocarbon resources. GBRC's technology
will not only be developed to extract oil from shale, but from
depleted oil fields in the US and elsewhere, many of which still
contain more than half of the hydrocarbons originally in these
fields, because the residual hydrocarbons are too viscous to
extract with conventional technology. This news release contains
