Volunteers devote more than 1,000 man-hours to enhance learning
environment at Burton International School DETROIT, Aug. 24

employees will renew their commitment to giving back to the
Corktown Historic District. Close to 200 volunteers of the
company's finance department will join forces to refurbish Burton
International School in Detroit. Partnering with the Greater
Corktown Development Corporation, DaimlerChrysler Financial
Services' volunteers will paint the school's interior, perform
general maintenance and repair, and restore the playground, working
from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. today. "Our employees make all the
difference. They are caring and hands-on members of our community,"
said Kevin Cunningham, Vice President - Risk Management,
DaimlerChrysler Financial Services. "It's wonderful to put sweat
equity in our community and, thereby, contribute to a nurturing
learning environment which will provide educational opportunities

Services' volunteers returned to the Greater Corktown area after
tackling 12 day-long revitalization projects simultaneously a year
ago. Burton International School is a pre-kindergarten to Eighth
grade school serving students citywide. The school supports the
ethnic, racial and cultural heritage of its students and strives to
provide education in a safe, effective academic and socially
