CML Microsystems becomes strategic supplier to Novatel
                           Wireless

CML Microsystems Plc, the group which designs, manufactures
and markets a range of semiconductors for use in the
communications industry, today announced that MX-COM, Inc.,
its wholly owned US subsidiary, has been selected by Novatel
Wireless, Inc., as a strategic supplier of mixed signal
communications integrated circuits for Novatel Wireless' CDPD
modem products. As a provider of wireless Internet solutions,
Novatel Wireless delivers high performance modem products with
low power consumption.

MX-COM has supplied wireless modem data processors to Novatel
Wireless since 1995. As demand for Novatel Wireless' CDPD
modem products has increased, MX-COM and Novatel Wireless have
evolved a supply relationship that satisfies all commercial
and logistic requirements. A Memorandum of Understanding was
agreed between the companies establishing MX-COM (and
affiliated CML Microsystems PLC companies) as a strategic
supplier to Novatel Wireless.

"With the great value that Novatel Wireless' innovative
products provide to the consumer, the number of CDPD
subscribers is reaching levels only dreamed of a few years
ago," said Dan Wrappe, MX-COM's Manager of Business
Development. "MX-COM's "best of class"" wireless data
processors offer the ideal technology solution to Novatel
Wireless."
