Share  Realisation and Reinvestment Programme &  public Top Up Offer - Extension 
of Offer

The  Board of Downing Absolute Income VCT  1 plc is pleased to announce that the 
closing  time and date for the  Share Realisation and Reinvestment Programme and 
Public  Offer for Subscription shall be extended to 3.00pm on 19 September 2012 
from the previous time and date of 3.00pm on 21 August 2012. 
 
Shares  will be purchased under the Tender Offer and substitution shares will be 
issued in respect of shares tendered for cancellation on 21 September 2012.

 Closing Date of the SRRP and Top-up Offer 19 September 2012 
 
 
 Allotment of Additional Ordinary Shares   21 September 2012 
 
 
 Announcement of the outcome of the SRRP   21 September 2012 
 
 
 Allotment   of  Substitution  Shares  and 21 September 2012 
 settlement  by way of  set off of amounts 
 due  to and  owed by  a Shareholder under 
 the SRRP 
 
 
 Effective   date   for   the  listing  of within 15 Business Days of allotment 
 Substitution  Shares and the commencement 
 of dealings 
 
 
 Share  certificates and  tax certificates within ten Business Days of 
 (if applicable) to be despatched          allotment
