Cingular Wireless Names Rob Forsyth Vice President and General Manager of North and South Carolina Forsyth one of 27 VP/GMs named as part of new leadership team after merger with AT&T Wireless CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless has named Rob Forsyth as vice president and general manager of North and South Carolina, which is part of the company's new Southeast region. The newly combined company is now the country's biggest wireless provider with more than 46 million customers and has the largest digital voice and data network in the nation. In his role as vice president and general manager, Forsyth will be responsible for overall operational, business and financial matters for the Carolinas. With more than 15 years of experience in the wireless industry, he began his career with Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems in 1989. Since that time, he has held various management positions during his tenure, including General Sales Manager-Arkansas and General Marketing Manager-Oklahoma.
