AirTest Product Assists Medical Marijuana Producers
AirTest CO2 Controller Designed to Increase Yields and Reduce
Growing Times
DELTA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Mar 26, 2014) - ATI
AirTest Technologies Inc. (TSX-VENTURE:AAT) is pleased to announce
that it has upgraded one of the Company's sensor products, which is
designed to control the levels of CO2 in hydroponic growing
environments. This results in stimulating plant photosynthesis and
metabolism. The upgraded model is targeting the participants in the
marijuana medical access program (MMAP) allowing them to maintain
more consistent CO2 levels to induce more rapid plant growth and
budding. This will result in increased crop yields and reduced
growing times of 10% to 30%.
The emerging MMAP multibillion-dollar industry will offer
significant potential growth in sales of products that are
considered an integral part of the growing process. AirTest not
only has years of experience in the development and sale of CO2
sensors and controllers, but the Company has also considerable
experience in developing products specifically for the Controlled
Environmental Agricultural (CEA) applications where many different
types of crops can benefit from CO2 control optimization.
According to George Graham, President and Chief Executive
Officer of AirTest, "Prior to the upgrade we sold more than 14,000
units to hydroponic producers throughout North America." Graham
added "Canada and the United States are currently undergoing
medical marijuana reform which opens a substantial market for our
redesigned product."
The unit designated as the "PPM1400" consists of two components,
a CO2 sensor that is placed on a wall in the production area and a
110 Volt plug-in controller. The controller regulates the required
CO2 which originates from bottled gas, dry ice or a CO2 generator,
so that CO2 concentrations are maintained at the ideal growing
level. The PM1400 is easy to install and operate, and very
affordably priced.
About AirTest: In addition to supplying products used in the
hydroponics industry, AirTest Technologies (www.airtest.com) is a
Green-Tech company specializing in sensors that improve commercial
building operating efficiency and at the same time create energy
savings.
