CFZ Cathay Forest Products Corp

Cathay Forest Products Corp., (TSX VENTURE:CFZ) a forest products company with
operations in China and Far East Russia, is pleased to announce that Mr. Charles
Kwan has been named General Manager effective October 31, 2010. Reporting to the
CEO, Mr. Kwan will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Shanghai
head office, and the relationship with the Company's offices outside Shanghai
and the Company's partners in China, including overseeing all contractual
arrangements in the China based provinces where the Company has operations.


Mr. Kwan was most recently the General Manager of Sino United Publishing
(Holdings) Ltd., a conglomerate of book publishing, printing, and retailing,
which is fully owned by the State Department of the PRC Central Government. Mr.
Kwan received a Masters in Business Administration from San Francisco State
University. Mr. Kwan is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
