Pro Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: PRM); and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce that the Company has now initiated an extensive exploration program on its recently announced Discovery Lake VMS Project. The program is currently underway, and will consist of linecutting, borehole and surface geophysical surveys. The company has engaged Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd. to carry out the surveys. This initial program is expected to last approximately 40 days, and once completed the Company will review the data and select targets for a follow-up program which will consist of sampling and diamond drilling.

Given the large amount of technical data the Company has acquired on the project to date, there is currently no need to revisit the types of airborne and surface geophysical surveys that have already been carried out on the project. In order to move the project forward in the most efficient and cost effective manner, the Company will instead test the original 12 drill holes located on the property, utilizing Borehole Pulse EM. Approximately 60 kilometres of surface Pulse EM will also be completed.

Located a relatively short distance from the renowned James Bay Lowlands/Ring Of Fire region, the Discovery Lake Project represents an opportunity to open up a brand new region for poly-metallic VMS discoveries of merit. The project is located in the East Uchi - Petawanga Lake area of Ontario, Canada. It consists of 34 claims, or 11,944 Acres, spanning roughly 16.2 kilometers North to South and 12.4 kilometres East to West. The primary target commodities are copper, zinc, gold and silver.
