Barbara Humpton has been named Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) Inc.’s first Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Humpton joined the company as Senior Vice President for Business Development in 2011.

In being elevated to COO, Humpton will have overall responsibility for ensuring that SGT has the most effective and efficient processes in all operations, from identifying business opportunities to winning new work and then ensuring that what Siemens delivers to its federal customers is of the highest quality and the best value.

Earlier in her career, Humpton had leadership positions at Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen Hamilton.
