Smart Ventures, Inc. Outlines More Details on Preposed Production Facilities

Mr. Lance Larsen, president and CEO of Smart Ventures, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SMVR) was asked to expand descriptions of the Smart Steel process that the Company plans to establish world-wide. Mr. Larsen explained that the following description is expected to result in more efficient and economical production of rolled steel products used mostly in construction.

The Smart Steel™ concept takes standard mini-mill technology which comprises of an electric arc furnace, a continuous casting machine and a rolling mill, developed by DANIELI, Italy and SIDER ENGINEERING, Italy and substantially increases the efficiency by the use of automation and robotics in an improved industrial design configuration.

This smart-mill is designed by TESO Engineering company (which has vast experience and has completed over 15 significant metallurgical projects in Russia and the UK) and is based on high level of mechanization, robotization and automation of metallurgical and auxiliary processes controlled by smart ACS.

Smart-mill using Smart Steel™ technology will produce 150,000mt per annum of rolled products from scrap steel. Scrap for processing is to be obtained from within an approximate sixty-five mile radius centered by the production facility resulting in further savings by eliminating long distance freight charges.
