Assicurazioni Generali SpA said Monday that it has appointed Francesco Martorana as group chief investment officer, effective March 1.

The Italian insurance giant said Mr. Martorana would spearhead investment activities for the group's insurance portfolios.

To succeed Mr. Martorana in his former role, the company appointed Bruno Servant as chief executive of Generali Insurance Asset Management SpA Societa di gestione del risparmio within the asset and wealth management business unit. Mr. Servant's appointent is effective from March 1.

Generali also appointed Tim Rainsford as chief executive of Generali Investments Partners SpA Societa di gestione del risparmio, effective from April 15.
