Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 47,908 ordinary shares of 10p each ("shares") to be
admitted to the Official List.


It is expected admission will be granted on 28 October 2003 and trading will
commence on 29 October 2003.


These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options under
the Savings Related Share Option Scheme (32,408) and Land Securities Executive
Share Option Scheme (15,500).


These shares now rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
