                    BEA - SALE OF HAVJARL FOR SCRAP

Bergesen has sold the gascarrier Havjarl, 29.300 cbm, built in 1972, for scrap.
Net contract price is about USD 1,5 million. Delivery will take place end of
April 2002.

The sales profit of about USD 1,4 million will be booked in second quarter 2002.
