                    Coolabi plc ("Coolabi" or the "Company") 
 
                                Issue of Equity 
 
Coolabi plc (AIM: COO), the media company focused on the ownership and creative 
management of high quality intellectual property assets, announces that it has 
raised GBP0.434 million through a placing with certain existing institutional 
shareholders ("the Placing"). 
 
As noted in Coolabi's Interim Statement released on 27 September 2010, the 
Company has made significant progress recently with its portfolio of 
intellectual properties and the net proceeds of the Placing will be used to 
continue and accelerate the development of those assets. 
 
Coolabi has agreed to issue 7,241,406 new ordinary shares of 1 penny each ("New 
Shares") at a price of 6 pence per share (the "Placing Price"). The Placing 
Price represents a discount of 7.7 per cent to the closing middle market price 
of the Company on 12 October 2010 (being the latest practicable date prior to 
this announcement). The New Shares will represent approximately 15 per cent of 
the current issued share capital of the Company and utilises the authorities 
granted to the Board at its annual general meeting on 10 June 2010. 
 
Application will be made for the New Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and 
dealings are expected to commence on 19 October 2010 ("Admission"). The Placing, 
which is not underwritten, is conditional upon Admission.
