The Board of Faupel plc announces that James McClean, Finance Director, will be
leaving the company with effect from 19 August 2005 to take up a senior
financial position in a FTSE 250 company.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Finance Director will be assumed in the
short-term by existing members of the Faupel finance department whilst the Board
reviews its options with regard to a longer term appointment.

David Newbigging, Chairman of Faupel, commented "James has made a valuable
contribution to Faupel since his appointment in 2000 and we wish him well in his
future career."
