                      Neptune Minerals Plc ('the Company')


                                Issue of equity


The Company announces that following receipt of option exercise notices by Peter
Vanderspuy (non-executive chairman) on 28 September 2007 and John Goodwin
(non-executive director) on 30 August 2007 and the subsequent receipt of funds,
the Company has today issued and allotted 300,000 and 250,000 shares ordinary
shares of 0.5p each to these directors respectively. The exercise price of these
options was 25p. Following the issue of these shares, the Company will have
65,442,063 ordinary shares in issue and application will be made for the shares
to be admitted to trading on AIM.


Following the exercise of the above options, Peter Vanderspuy and John Goodwin
will have the following interests in the Company:
