PARIS--Total SA said Wednesday it has started production at the Moho Nord offshore project, the French company's biggest oil development in the Republic of Congo.

The project, which is 53.5% owned by Total, has a production capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, the company said.

"Moho Nord will contribute to the reinforcement of the cash flow of the group and to its production growth," said Arnaud Breuillac, president of exploration and production at Total.
