outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Gasoline production resumed on May 3 at BP PLC's (BP) Texas City
refinery for the first time since a power outage caused the shut
down of the entire plant, a person familiar with operations there
said.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on May 3 said its Texas City, Texas,
refinery had resumed normal processing rates following last weeks
power-related plant wide shutdown.
ConocoPhillips (COP) on May 3 said its Wilmington, California,
refinery had resumed normal operations after a power dip on May 2
shut down several processing units.
Tesoro Corp. (TSO) on May 2 said planned maintenance that began
on April 28 at its Anacortes, Washington, refinery had no impact on
operations. The work was expected to conclude on May 2 a filing to
environmental regulators said.
BP PLC's (BP, BP.LN) Texas City, Texas, refinery ramping towards
normal rates, a person familiar with the plant said on May 2.
Several units restarted over the weekend, including the
ultracracking unit. It will be several days before the refinery is
at planned rates following last weeks plant wide shutdown due to
power outages, the person said.
Valero Energy (VLO) said on May 2 that all production units at
its Texas City refinery has been restarted and nearing planned
rates. The refinery also experienced a plant wide shutdown last
week due to power outages.
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) on April 30 notified the U.S. National
Response Center, or NRC, of emissions at its Joliet, Illinois,
refinery associated with an equipment malfunction. No other details
were provided and an Exxon Mobil representative wasn't immediately
available to comment. Separately, an upset at the FCCU on April 19
had no impact on production, the company said at that time.
On April 29 Dow Jones Newswires learned that Sunoco Inc. (SUN)
reported the restart of several processing units at its
Philadelphia refining complex on April 21, 22 and 24, following
planned and unplanned maintenance.
