Teva Pharmaceutical Industries on Monday said its affiliate
reached an agreement with Kentucky's attorney general to settle the
state's price-fixing claims.
The generic drug maker said it will pay Kentucky about $1.41
billion and the state will dismiss all its claims against the
company and its affiliates once the payment has been made under the
terms of the settlement.
Teva said it's pleased to put the Kentucky's claims behind it
and continues to deny the allegations. The company said it's in
discussions with additional states to settle similar cases.
The settlement is the sixth related to price-fixing claims that
Teva has reached in the U.S. to date, the company said.
