Software Product Launch
- New Kofax Ascent Capture 6.0 and Ascent Capture Internet Server 6.0


10 July 2003 - DICOM Group plc ("DICOM Group" or "the Company"), a global leader
in the Electronic Document Capture ("EDC") market, announces the launch of
Ascent Capture 6.0 and Ascent Capture Internet Server 6.0 ("ACIS 6.0"), major
upgrades of the company's flagship EDC software application.

DICOM Group is the market-leading supplier of EDC products, essential for
helping organisations capture critical business information economically,
quickly and reliably from paper documents, electronic documents and the
Internet. In the capture process, Ascent Capture recognises and extracts data
from documents and releases them seamlessly into content, document management
and other enterprise applications.

Ascent Capture 6.0 offers several new and enhanced features including built-in
Adobe Acrobat PDF file creation and a flexible software-based license
management. The new Ascent Capture product also increases the ability to handle
larger document volumes. This increased functionality will allow DICOM Group to
address higher value projects.

The companion product ACIS 6.0 enhances enterprise management capabilities with
software-based client licensing, remote upgrades and enhanced security. ACIS 6.0
provides a variety of new features designed to enhance the ability to scan
documents inexpensively at remote sites, automatically download them to the
central site and then automatically or manually synchronise with the content
management or business system. With ACIS 6.0, the IBM WebSphere Webserver is now
supported in addition to Microsoft's IIS, responding to the needs of larger IBM
users.

Ascent Capture 6.0 is available now from over 1,000 authorised DICOM Group
business partners worldwide. Pricing is based on the volume of documents
processed per month. With Version 6.0, the customer will have the choice to
select pricing either monthly or annually.
