MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- QinetiQ North
America (QNA) today announced that Dr. J.D.
Crouch II will be taking over as Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) of QNA following the retirement of Duane Andrews at the end of the current fiscal
year on March 31, 2013.
J.D. Crouch is currently
President of QinetiQ North America's Technology Solutions Group,
where he built QNA's successful defense products business. He
assumed this role in November 2009
from his position as QNA's Executive Vice President for Strategic
Development. In his 30-year career, Crouch held a number of
prestigious public and private sector leadership positions. His
most recent government service was as Assistant to the President
and Deputy National Security Advisor until June 2007. Previously, he served as US Ambassador
to Romania from 2004-2005 and,
prior to this, as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International
Security Policy. He co-founded and was Chief Marketing Officer of
PalmGear.com, the Internet's leading Palm OS App Store from
1995-2001. Crouch holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in
International Relations from the University of
Southern California.

Duane Andrews has notified the
company of his intention to retire on March
31, 2013. Andrews joined QinetiQ North America as CEO
in June 2006 to integrate QNA's three
subsidiaries and was responsible for managing its acquisition
strategy. "It has been an honor to lead the talented men and
women of QinetiQ North America through the formation and early
evolution of the company," Andrews said. "I am proud of the unique

military lives and engineering services essential to the mission

distinguished 45-year career with service in the U.S. Air Force,
followed by service as a professional staff member of the U.S.
House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on
Intelligence. He went on to serve as Assistant Secretary of

Pentagon Chief Information Officer before joining Science
Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in 1993. His thirteen
years at SAIC included assignments as Executive Vice President for
