    An application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a listing of 15,795,966 ordinary shares of
0.01p each of Debenhams plc to be admitted to the Official List. The shares are to be issued on 4 July 2008 to existing shareholders
following their election to participate in the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme.

    The shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the company.
