Just Energy Group Inc. (the “Company”) is unable to file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended June 30, 2022 within the prescribed time period without unreasonable effort or expense because the Company needs additional time to complete its financial statements and related disclosures due to the Company’s ongoing financial restructuring process.

Under U.S. GAAP, there is a requirement to mark to market certain derivative instruments related to power and electricity supply and as such the Company expects the financial statements to reflect significant volatility in period-over-period earnings as described in our previously filed financial statements.
