Plug Power Successfully Completes NEBS Level 3 Compliance Testing
For GenCore(TM)5T LATHAM, N.Y., March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Plug Power Inc. , a leader in the development of proton exchange
membrane fuel cell systems, announced today that itsGenCore(TM)
fuel cell product has successfully completed Network Equipment
Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3 compliance testing, a standard
developed by the telecommunications industry that qualifies
equipment under extreme environmental conditions and requires
specific levels of technological resiliency. (Logo:

contracted with Telcordia, a leader in NEBS standards development
and testing, to provide system compliance testing. The Telcordia
compliance testing program for the GenCore(TM)5T -48V direct
current (DC) backup fuel cell system tested against all applicable
criteria in NEBS Level 3, as described in Telcordia Special Report
SR-3580, Network Equipment Building Systems Criteria Levels. "We
