PRESS RELEASE

Project Telecom pursues strategy for next-generation data services with
                      UK agreement to resell BlackBerry

FRIDAY, 4 January 2002 -- Project Telecom, a leading UK independent provider
of wireless voice and data services to the corporate sector, has signed an
agreement with BT Cellnet to resell BlackBerry, the secure, wireless business
information system, into the UK corporate and SME market.

Tim Radford, Project Telecom's Chief Executive, said: "Our strategy for
exploiting the opportunities from next-generation wireless services is to
position Project Telecom as "prime contractor" responsible for the delivery of
data solutions, and all aspects of customer service, to the business market.
This agreement, which makes Project Telecom the only company able to offer
both BlackBerry and OfficeLive in the UK, demonstrates that our partners
recognise the value of the relationships we have established within the
corporate sector."

Developed by Research In Motion, the Canadian mobile communications company,
BlackBerry enables business executives to receive and send e-mails and SMS
messages over wireless networks, without having to dial in or initiate
connections. It also allows access to desktop applications such as address
book, calendar and task lists, providing real-time Personal Information
Management 24 hours a day. The solution utilises BlackBerry Enterprise Server
software, installed alongside the corporate server behind the corporate
firewall, to copy, compress and encrypt messages for forwarding over GPRS to a
wireless handheld device. In the UK messages are delivered over the GPRS
network of BT Cellnet.

BlackBerry is compatible with Microsoft Exchange and incorporates Triple DES
encryption technology. Since its US launch in January 1999, it has
experienced substantial demand and is now used by approximately 9,700
companies across North America.

BlackBerry customers will be contracted via Project Telecom with BT Cellnet,
Project Telecom receiving a share of the revenues generated from sales of
BlackBerry Enterprise Servers, Client Access Licences and "Blackberry by BT
Cellnet" wireless handheld devices and monthly service charges. Project
Telecom will retain ownership of all billing.

James Moberly, Product Marketing Director of Project Telecom's Corporate
Services division, commented: "We believe there is substantial pent-up demand
for BlackBerry in the UK that should soon result in new revenue for Project
Telecom."
