The office is currently providing infrastructure design-build
and munitions remediation services under two multiple award
contracts, with a total construction value of $550M. ARCADIS U.S. performs services under
subconsultant agreements for Naval Facilities Engineering Command
(NAVFAC) Marianas, Guam.
"We coordinate with multiple partners here on a daily basis to
support several military contracts including those from NAVFAC,"
said Harry Kleiser, Federal Client
Development Director for ARCADIS/Pirnie. "Our work is setting the
stage for growth on the island, including improvements for water
management, energy supply, roads and housing. Having a local office
allows us to be true partners and respond to our client's needs in
real-time. In addition to our current projects, we plan to expand
this office to offer our full line of services to other
clients."
The island of Guam has a
population of 171,000, and is home to approximately 14,000 U.S.
military personnel and dependants. With the pending transfer of
Marines from Okinawa, it is
estimated that an additional 26,000 military personnel and their
dependents will be relocated to Guam before 2014. This significant growth will
result in billions of dollars dedicated to infrastructure on the
military bases, and infrastructure and socio-economic improvements
off base to support the population.
ARCADIS/Pirnie's Guam office is
located at 888 N. Marine Corps Drive, Suite 214, Tamuning,
Guam, 96913. The phone number is
617 646 3775.
