Steed as Director of Military Sales. Mr. Steed is a seasoned strategic marketing and sales professional with over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry primarily in the marketing and sales functions. His experience and relationships with bottlers, military groups and multifunctional project teams has enabled him to bring innovative approaches to established marketing programs. Most recently, Mr. Steed was Military Sales Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, where he directed, developed, and grew business through bottling partners, prime vendors, broker networks, and strategic marketing initiatives within the eastern region of the United States. At the Coca-Cola Company, he was responsible for calling on DECA, AAFES, NEXCOM, MARINE CORP EXCHANGE, VETERANS CANTEEN, and SHIPS AFLOAT at the regional level and headquarter responsibility for DSCP, ARMY MWR, and AIR FORCE MWR on a national level. Mr. Steed developed and grew sales to 3.1 million cases a year within his region, successfully built team alliances within the bottling system, implemented the first ever national merchandising program for the bottling system and successfully negotiated a 5 year contract with the Defense Supply Center for troop feeding. He also held previous positions at the Minute Maid Company as Senior Account Executive and Account Executive where he was responsible for juice sales at Holiday Day Inn headquarters and the University system for the southeast region.
