Leatt Launches Complete New Line Of 2014 Motorcycle Products At
Motocross of Nations
CAPE TOWN, South Africa and
TEUTSCHENTHAL, Germany,
Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/
-- Leatt Corporation (OTCQB: LEAT), a global developer,
marketer and distributor of personal protective equipment for all
forms of sports, including extreme motor sports, and whose products
include the flagship Leatt-Brace®, a neck brace system designed to
help prevent potentially devastating injuries to the cervical spine
(neck) for helmeted sports, announced today that its complete 2014
motorcycle product line—including its brand new Five.Five Neck
Braces—was launched at the 2013 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of
Nations held on September 27-29 in
Teutschenthal, Germany. This was
the 67th edition of the event in which motocross riders
representing 41 countries compete against each other for the title
of champion.
Among the innovative Leatt products on display at the
2013 FIM Motocross of Nations were
the new Five.Five Neck Brace and Five.Five Neck Brace Jr., as well
as the Leatt Chest Protector Pro Junior for children. Leatt's
new Five.Five Neck Brace and Five.Five Neck Brace Jr. feature
washable padding, a new clasping mechanism and on-board adjustment
to make fitment easier and the brace more comfortable for more
riders. The new Five.Five range of braces are an innovative update
of Leatt's pioneer neck brace in the motorcycle and motocross
world, and have been heralded as "the most drastic update to this
life-saving device in the company's history" in
BikeRumor.com. The Leatt Chest Protector Pro Junior for
children, Leatt believes, is the first ever youth chest protector
on the market that has been CE certified at the highest level of
chest impact protection. This light, comfortable chest protector
was designed for children ages 6-12, who ride BMX-style bicycles
and mountain bikes, as well as motorcycles and other
vehicles.
The Leatt catalog has more than quadrupled in size in recent
years and, with the addition of these products, boasts a wide
variety of new and innovative protection and performance
devices. Other products showcased at the event included back
protectors, padding kits, body vests, cooling t-shirts and vests,
brace hydration systems and casual Leatt team clothing such as the
Team Hoody and Team T-shirt.
"Motocross will always be an important sport for Leatt because
it is where we started and where we have been pioneers in product
innovation, thanks to our neck brace line," said Leatt CEO
Sean Macdonald. "We are proud of our
completely redesigned neck brace, the Five.Five, that includes
updates and innovations that we have developed over our many years
of covering motorcycle racing. While Leatt has branched out into a
variety of new sports, we remain proud of our brand of motocross
products which are designed for riders of all ages and expertise,
and are known and respected throughout the world."
In addition to its new array of products showcased at the event,
Leatt-sponsored rider, Jeremy van Horebeek of Belgium, participated in the event, and Team
Belgium won the event. You may access the complete Leatt 2014
