Wednesday, September 15, 2005, Dectron Internationale (NASDAQ: DECT
& TSX: DTL) announced its financial results for the second
quarter of operations for fiscal 2005-2006. Revenues for the three
months period ended July 31st 2005 were $ 12,896,631, a 17.4%
increase over the previous year. This increase reflects stronger
demand in Refrigeration and Engineered products. Gross Profit
decreased from $2,745,525 to $2,566,702 for the reporting period.
As a percentage of revenues, gross profit decreased from 25% to
20%. Gross profit was adversely affected by higher material costs
and aggressive pricing. General and Administrative expense
decreased from $785,182 to $731,096 for the reporting period. As a
percentage of revenues General and Administrative decreased from 7%
to 6% this year. Selling expense increased from $1,194,659 to
$1,309,402 for the reporting period. As a percentage of revenues,
selling and marketing expenses decreased from 11% to 10%.
Amortization expense increased from $304,158 to $320,928 for the
reporting period. As a percentage of revenues, amortization
expenses decreased from 3% to 2%. Interest expense increased from
$96,162 to $164,495 for the reporting period. As a percentage of
revenues, interest expense remained unchanged at 1%. Provision for
Income Tax decreased from $109,711 to $12,711 for the reporting
period. Earnings from Operations decreased from $255,653 to $28,070
for the reporting period. The decrease is due mainly to a drop in
Gross Profit of five percentage points as compared to Revenues. The
net effect from Discontinued Operations increased from $128,551 to
$616,374 for the reporting period. For the reporting period ended
July 31st 2005 the company reported negative Net Earnings of
