On September 28, 2012, OYO Geospace Corporation issued a press release announcing a change in the company's name and ticker symbol to be effective October 1, 2012. The company's new name will be Geospace Technologies Corporation, and its NASDAQ ticker symbol will be "GEOS".

The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
