The Company's net earnings show a decline based on their aggressive approach to increase market share, particularly in North America. "Dectron has positioned itself to fully capitalize on the inevitable economic upturn expected in the short term," said Ness Lakdawala, President and CEO. "Our respective sales divisions have taken a no-holds barred approach to aggressively pursue projects in regions where competition has been strong, and as a result, we have increased market presence." This policy is consistent with Dectron's approach to opening new markets, particularly in the Middle East. "Expenditures on international trade shows continue to provide entry into the areas that have been neglected, but are now showing signs of significant potential," explained Mauro Parissi, CFO. "Dectron is starting to see an increase in sales in international markets, thanks to the effort and strategy that was outlined in 2002." The Research and Development focus continues as new market requirements and/or opportunities present themselves. Current focus on Dectron's Moisture Recovery Unit(R) (MRU) and Dectron's Ecosaire(R) line of Precision Environmental Control systems have helped maintain the Company's image as a leader in technological advancement in the Heating, Ventilation and Air- Conditioning industry.
